Awesome News!

So today has been a god day.  First of all, I promptly wake up to find that I am down four (4) lbs this morning!  Which only gets better because Mike was up an entire pound, and Ryan quit the competition entirely.  Mike's weight gain is great because it is not only a step in the other direction, but the psychological detriment was severe.  He says things like "I feel like I've wasted the last three weeks.." in a voice that would almost bring tears to a sympathetic eye.  I, however, have no sympathy and am looking to take advantage of this minor victory as much as possible.  Ryan is a twat and constantly sick so he bailed after no immediate results.

Then, come to find out one of my best friends got engaged, so this has been a pretty awesome day.  I hope the rest of the week continues along this trend.  I'll keep you posted Friday hopefully about progress on the weight loss.  And yes, I realize I'm basically talking to myself, and optimistically three other people, but I don't care.

New Whip

Things are going really well right now for me. Friday, I was happy to hear the Haas VF2 four axis CNC mill was a go, and the check was to be cut on Monday.  This is excellent news, as now I can complete many really cool projects that I have been waiting to complete.  Bolt action 50 BMG, AR-15 Lowers, and a billet 17 hmr semi-auto just to name a few.

In addition to the good news at work, I spent Saturday looking for a clean 78-79 Ford in the Portland area.  This is a considerably larger area than most people tend to thing of when they picture the Portland area.  I am pretty sure Portland encompasses everything North of Salem to Vancouver, WA.  People from Portland don't like this generalization, nor do they find the humor in it.  But, to me, a street name differentiating one town from another doesn't make it a new town.  Sure, maybe they were different when my Grandparents were kids, but now they are the same.

Anyway, I found my pickup.  It is the most hideous baby shit gold you have ever seen.  The interior is super clean, and the body and trim is straight with the exception of some rust in two spots, and a couple dents in the bed.
So, that's my new baby.  It's ugly, but it will start looking better and better every day.

So far I've been a piece of crap in the diet department, I've flat-lined at 378 the last two weeks.  I have a dirtbike race in Washington this next Sunday, so I'm going to really be good this week to dominate the skinny kids trying to beat me!

Snow Day

Well, almost.  It should have been a snow day today.  Woke up to a good four inches of snow, who saw that coming?  Not me.  Got a little western on the drive in this morning, but made it in good shape.  I bet I passed 50 cars on the way in, but nobody was in the fast lane, so I can't complain.  Ended up getting to work only to find the power out.  It was on for a couple hours, then went out again at 9:45, and stayed out for the remainder of the day.  There wasn't a whole lot to do, so we pulled out a lot of stuck people.  Some retard in thought he could make it down a truck ramp and actually make it out.  I think not.  Rick's stroker pulled him out though, I'll post the video of that later for the Ford fans.

I didn't gain or lose any weight this Monday, so I feel pretty good about that.  I typically struggle the most with staying good on the weekends.  Hopefully this next Monday I'll be down another 5 or 8 lbs.

Caleb's Last Day

Caleb's last day is tomorrow, so naturally, we had to screw with all of his stuff.  Initially, we thought that is would be best to just glue everything down to his desk. That has been done to death though, so we had to keep thinking.  Coating just about everything in anti-seize was the next brain wave to come on, but he wears gloves, so that was out of the question.  Finally, we decided to coat everything he has in aluminum foil.  Hardly original in the grand scheme of things, but a first at my place of work.  I think that it turned out well.  Check out the results of two hours and seven rolls of aluminum foil.

So tomorrow is the preliminary weigh day, it really doesn't count, but it will give us an idea of how bad we've been over the weekend when we weigh officially on Monday.  I've been very good this week and anticipate about a 5-8lb weight loss tomorrow.  Hopefully by Monday I'll be down a full 10 or better.  I'll keep you posted.

Fucking Cowards

I arrived home from a wonderful workout to find my phone alerting me to a text message.  My hopes of seeing the familiar text "On my way home." from my beautiful fiance were replaced with feelings quite the opposite.  I read that a friend's mom saw police at my 84 year old grandma's house, just letting me know.  I called my Grandma only to find out that somebody had broken in.

She saw that the door had been opened, peel out marks in the driveway, and broken light bulbs in the yard (wtf, broken light bulbs?).  Thankfully she knew better than to go in, and went into Malin to get police.  The fucking spineless pieces of shit violated the sanctity of her home to steal her jewelery, guns, and electronics.  She will likely never feel safe living alone in the country again.  All this just to finance their next fix.  So help me God, if I find out whoever did this the police had better get to them before I do.

In the middle of the day no less!  She was only gone from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Who does that?  In hindsight, I'm very glad she wasn't home.  I suspect somebody desperate enough to park in broad daylight outside the very home they are breaking in, wouldn't have cared if somebody was within.  I can only hope they try this again to somebody else, only this time with the resident armed within.

Normally I'd be very happy with the results of my weight loss, but I'm still super pissed.  Anyway, I'm down another 2lbs over the course of the weekend.  Check out the results.

Slow Drivers and Weight Loss

This post was just going to be titled with something along the lines of weight loss.  I added the slow drivers part as I am still super pissed at the retards with licenses (I assume...) that perpetually get in front of me.  I realize it's not actually "my" road, but when there are two lanes and you choose to reside in the left lane, going exactly the same speed as the guy next to you?  It makes me want to rip your spleen out and eat it.  I don't even like spleen, but I'd still want to do it.  Really!?  WTF?  The left lane isn't there so you can maintain the constant velocity of your peers while enjoying an un-obstructed view of the road in front of you!  Pass and then get out of my way!  Pretend you are passing on a two lane road and cars will hit you at any minute!  Better yet, pretend you are passing on a double lined, curvy, two lane road, in the fog.  Go and go fast!

So now that I have that out of my system I can get on with things.  I'm stoked it's Friday!  Work is over and now I can enjoy my weekend.  An old co-worker is coming to town and if he gets here at any reasonable time (reasonable time: before I get too wasted to drive to Bend.) I look forward to going to see him.

We all weighed at work this morning, another co-worker joined in the personal challenge to lose weight.  This was his first weigh in so, on Monday I'll post an update to see how the weekend treated us, then he'll have a trend line too.

As you can see, I dropped 5lbs since Monday!  And that was with my boots on!  I typically weigh in Romeos, so I bet I really would have dropped closer to 7-8lbs, bare assed!  Now the challenge,  keep that weight off this weekend!

Wish me luck and have a great weekend! Cheers!

First Post!

So I finally did it.  I've jumped on the band wagon and started a blog.  I'm not 100% sure about the whole concept, to be honest.  It seems a little presumptuous right?  Assuming people will read about the mundane details of my life, rants, and tie raids that I will randomly go on?  Maybe not.  Maybe it's just like a diary that I keep for keeping my sanity, but not quite as homo as a diary.  I'll stick with calling it a blog and see how long it takes me to give up and let it go by the wayside.

So, now that I've started this thing I figure I had better give you an idea of what I'm going to be going on about.  For starters, one goal of mine is to lose some weight.  Okay, quite a bit of weight.  Saying I need to lose some weight is like saying Christopher Reeves is kinda crippled.  I started January 3, 2011 at 412 lbs fully clothed.  As of January 31, 2011 I was 388.  I'm 6'5" so I'm not quite as round as the image you have conjured up by now, but I need to get skinny..er.  I'm making progress!  I have read that those who blog about what they eat tend to lose more weight than those who don't, so here's to hoping statistics are in my favor.

In addition to more energy, longer life, and a better power to weight ratio on motorcycles, I'd like to thin up in order to look my best for my fionce, Kendra, at our wedding in September!  I'm shooting for an even three bills by 9/10/11.  Wish me luck!

Oh, and I forgot to mention my boss is trying to drop from 225lbs to 200lbs in as fast or faster than me!  I'm going to smoke him!  I'll keep you posted on the race!
